Background Information

San Antonio is a village in the Cayo District, it is mostly populated by Yucatec-speaking Mayans. The village is known for its sustainable way of raising awareness by offering cultural and traditional services. The drive to San Antonio is an adventure of its own, some areas of the road are paved, a few miles are bumpy but the views are beautiful. We will witness the everyday living of villagers and see the unique arts and man-made Maya Ruin as we make our way to the center of San Antonio.

The San Antonio Women’s Group are the organizers of the cultural and pottery making tour. They are known for maintaining the Mayan history through cultural initiatives. Let these experts takes you back in time to explore the impressive Mayan traditional and enjoy one of the most enlightening experiences of your life. The tour ends with enjoying a delicious Mayan dish.

The tour embarks San Ignacio Town at 9:00a.m. to the San Antonio village and returns after 1:00p.m.
